What is your experience with serious roleplay?: Six, almost seven years by now, over two accounts. Started playing HL2RP back in the OpenAura days, and stuck with it until around 2016, when I started branching off into other gamemodes. I’ve been playing HaloRP for about a year and a half now, never messed with the DarkRP-esque servers. Over this time, I’ve owned several servers; two Half Life 2 RP servers (One of them is still up; The Seventh Hour), and one When Worlds Collide.
Why should we accept you over other applicants?: Well, I’ve got a rather good grip on Halo lore, am able to port and create content (Hit me up with those armor porting requests, fam.) that may be beneficial to the server, and of course, I’m a phenomenal RPer when given the chance, if I do say so myself. Like others, I was very active on Misfire. There’s probably a good six-to-eight people on here who can attest. Do you understand that being in the Spartan whitelist requires a massive amount of IC and OOC maturity and that if you are found to be lacking in maturity, you can and will be removed with little to no warning?: Yeah, I’d certainly hope that maturity is important to this. I don’t have any reason to really target anyone, but I know sometimes the way I say things may seem a little blunt; which is something I can tone down.

What is this character's backstory?:(100 Words Minimum)
Well, Hidani’s been around the field a few times, figuratively speaking. Being born sometime around 2530 on the Outer Colony of New Jerusalem, to a considerably low-income family, he has been very well acquainted with the life of agriculture. Being forced into a family occupation that he absolutely despised, he had a long while of hard labor ahead of him. Working outside and in pretty poor conditions proceeded to harden him over the years; resulting in a lean build, with a deceptional amount of strength, for his muscle-mass. Biding his time, he continues his life as-is, with a vague idea brewing in his mind of how to get out of such a horrendous life. Having little technology to allow for news of the happenings elsewhere, the truth of the Human Covenant War up to this point has always been extremely foggy, muddled mostly with rumors heard locally in a rather distant ‘commercial’ district (which was really more or less a cluster of buildings with a market and shipping facilities.). As a result; this combination of yearning to get away, along with a grossly-misinformed idea of the war, eventually solidified a plan for him. He proceeded to skip home, enlisting in the Navy at 16. Stable income, clean facilities, and structure. But something was missing- it just wasn’t what he wanted. During year 2550, he was given the chance to transfer to the 82nd ODSTs, and clearly, he took it. Early on, he gained the top certifications for Heavy Weaponry, eventually being designated to operate the M6 Grindell; or “Spartan Laser”, as some may call it. By 2552, he had reached the rank of Lance Corporal, fighting in many sectors, in battles which both resulted in victory and failure. The most notable one being Reach, Hidani managed to survive; although one can attribute that to the evacuation of many UNSC assets nearing the end. Finally having his contract end, he was given the chance to either re-enlist, or go on his way. Having his first chance at financial stability (Due to the rather large amount of Credits he’s been sitting on, saving during his entire tenure), it’s clear what the choice would be. To take a break from the UNSC. Taking a few years off, moving to a remote colony, he found that he was not exactly an easy hire in the megacity situated in the extremely remote colony known as “Conrad’s Point”. Minimal education, no civilian workforce experience, and nothing fitting his interests. Living in a moderately sized apartment, he lived on his dwindling savings until sometime around June of 2554. Eventually- His apartment buzzer goes off. Someone’s trying to contact him, it seems. Greatly perturbed by this interruption, he is almost keen on letting it go unanswered. Eventually, his sense comes to him. Someone in such an uncaring city as this, wouldn’t be doing it without a damn good reason. So by the third time the buzzer goes off, he approaches the intercom warily, allowing the individual into the building. Waiting, he’d stand near the door, fidgeting. Eventually, the individual in question shows up, wearing a neatly pressed dress-suit, with little emotion on their face. In their right hand, there would be a small leather satchel, tightly bound by two straps, secured by polished metal latches. When they enter the individual sits down on a chair across from a dining table, setting the bag on it. A fake, clearly well-rehearsed smile would creep onto their face, followed by the clacking of the satchel opening, as he pulls out several documents, speaking; “I have an offer for you, Barak.”

Contacted sometime in [TBD] by an unnamed recruiter, he sat on the offer for a long while, contemplating. Eventually finished with weighing his choices, he took the opportunity. From there, it’s the generic story. Get cleared of any medical or mental issues. Spend a few weeks getting a multitude of extremely invasive surgeries. Get trained by beating up your colleagues in a wargames simulation for a while. You know, the usual. Being a bit of an outcast among other participants due to a rather cold demeanor, he is definitely not a talkative person. Despite that, he continues to be trustworthy, in regards to to getting a task done.
Explain how your Spartan reacts to combat (100 Words Minimum)
Well, he shoots them. Anyhow, as per his general area of expertise, he’s quite a fan of entrenched positions. Taking it slow but steady. Even in armor, he’d be very partial to abusing the everloving fuck out of any cover he could find. None of that brash ‘Run & Gun’ shit. Non-necessary activities should be brought to a minimum amount during an operation. In other words, in-and-out. Nothing that may complicate things. As for generally how he’d act when getting shot at, it’s rather non-emotional. You know, he’s desensitized to that kind of stuff. Professionality is definitely key.

Does your Spartan experience PTSD?
Being a combat veteran for so long, it’s surprising, but no. In fact, to my knowledge, that’s grounds for disqualification from the program.
